TheWest Indies women's cricket team touredIndia in October and November 1976. They playedIndia in a six Test match series, which ended as a 1–1 draw.[1] The matches were the first ever played by the India women's team.[2]
India won the fourth Test by 5 wickets in Patna on 19 November, recording its first ever Test match victory.[3] In the sixth Test, the West Indies handed India a massive defeat, beating them by an innings and 24 runs on November 29 to draw the series.[4]
