Weeting Heath is a 141.8-hectare (350-acre) biologicalSite of Special Scientific Interest west ofThetford inNorfolk, England,[1][2] which is managed by theNorfolk Wildlife Trust.[3] It is aNature Conservation Review site, Grade I,[4] and aNational Nature Reserve.[5] It is also part of theBrecklandSpecial Area of Conservation[6] andSpecial Protection Area.[7]
The grass and lichen heath is grazed by rabbits. It has a high density of breeding birds, includingstone-curlews. One arable field is reserved for uncommonBreckland plants.[8]
The site is open at limited times.
