"We'll Be Together Again" is a 1945popular song composed byCarl T. Fischer, with lyrics byFrankie Laine.^[1]

Fischer was Laine's pianist and musical director when he composed the tune, and Laine was asked to write the lyrics for it. Terry Fischer (the wife of Carl T. Fischer) was the first to release the song, followed bythe Pied Pipers, and as well as Laine, it has since been recorded by such notable vocalists asBillie Holiday,Frank Sinatra,Louis Armstrong,Rosemary Clooney,Lou Rawls andTony Bennett.^[1]
