The Warlock's Daughter is a fictional character appearing in theAmerican comic books published byDC Comics. Created byBill Willingham and Rick Mays, the Warlock's Daughter first appears inRobin (vol. 2) #121 (February 2004).

Darla Aquista, the daughter of Gotham mobster Henry Aquista, shares a connection withTim Drake, the thirdRobin, and develops feelings for him. However, their potential relationship is hindered by her father's criminal involvement. Darla meets her demise in a conflict but is resurrected by Johnny Warlock, who taps into her father's life force as part of his search for magical solutions. Renamed as "Warlock's Daughter", she initially becomes a magical super-villain with the mission of eliminating Robin while harboring affection for Tim Drake, unaware of his secret identity. Over time, Darla undergoes a transformation and reforms as a superhero, joiningShadowpact, becoming the apprentice of theEnchantress, and adopting the aliasLaura Fell.

Darla Aquista is the daughter ofGotham mafia boss Henry Aquista and disapproves of his criminal activities.[1] She meetsTim Drake as he is trying to get out of school on his first day at Louis E. Grieve Memorial High School and shows interest in him.[2] However, Tim tells Darla that he is already in a relationship withStephanie Brown, causing her to believe that he does not like her.[3]

During the "Batman: War Games" storyline, Darla is murdered in an attack by a rival gang. The sorcerer Johnny Warlock sacrifices Henry Aquista's life to resurrect Darla, who assumes the alias of Laura Fell and becomes Johnny's apprentice.[1][4][5]

DuringThe OMAC Project event,Blüdhaven is attacked byOMACs and Johnny Warlock comes to take Laura to safety. Tim Drake suggests that she become a superhero and joinShadowpact.[1][6][7]

Shadowpact

Shortly after the events ofInfinite Crisis, the members of Shadowpact are trapped behind a mystic barrier, in which a year passes for them while several days pass for the rest of the world. After escaping, the Shadowpact members meet with Johnny Warlock and Laura Fell, who are imprisoned in Joshua Coldrake's tower.[1][8][9] Laura joins Shadowpact to help them retrieveBlue Devil's trident fromHell.[10]

Powers and abilities

Warlock's Daughter is a skilled magic user, being able to use spells and possessing the knowledge required to use them. Her training veers from magical spells to practical knowledge as she has to understand basic physics in order to magically manipulate them.
