TheWanamara (Wunumara) were anAboriginal Australian people of the state ofQueensland.
The Wanamara's tribal lands extended over, inNorman Tindale's calculations, some 13,000 square miles (34,000 km2) from the headwaters of theFlinders River, eastwards as far asRichmond. Their western frontier was at the Williams River nearCloncurry. Their southern limits were at theGreat Dividing Range and toKynuna. They ranged north as far as Cambridge Downs and Dalgonally.[1]
