TheWalter George Smith School is a formerschool building that is located in thePoint Breeze neighborhood ofPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania, United States.
It was added to theNational Register of Historic Places in 1986.[1] The school was closed in 2013; as of 2016, it was in the process of being converted to apartments.[2]
Designed byIrwin T. Catharine and built between 1924 and 1925, this historic structure is a four-story, brick building withlimestone trim that was created in theLate Gothic Revival style. It features two projecting ends, a main entrance with enclosed porch and Gothic arch, Gothic arched windows, and a battlementparapet.[3]
It was added to theNational Register of Historic Places in 1986.[1] The school was closed in 2013, and as of 2016 was in the process of being converted to apartments.[2][4]
