Waimahana Bay is a bay and remote rural community in theFar North District andNorthland Region of New Zealand'sNorth Island.[1]
The community is centred around the Waimahana Marae and Te Puhi o Te Waka meeting house,[2] a tribal meeting ground of theNgāti Kahu ki Whangaroahapū ofNgāti Aukiwa and theNgāpuhi / Ngāti Kahu ki Whaingaroahapū ofNgāti Aukiwa.[3] Waimahana Bay lies in between two other bays that are equally beautiful, Omatā and Okokori Bay.
