WLVK (105.5FM) is aradio station broadcasting aworship music format, simulcastingWLGK (94.7 FM). WLVK is licensed to serve the community ofFort Knox, Kentucky, United States. The station is owned by W & B Broadcasting Co., Inc.,[2] and is programmed by Word Media Group under alocal marketing agreement.
The station was assigned the call letters WASE on October 1, 1967. The station from time consideredTop 40 andadult contemporary formats from the 1960s until the early 1990s. On October 14, 1993, the station changed its call sign to WASE-FM; on July 25, 1995, it changed to the current WLVK.[3]
On April 3, 2022, WLVK flipped fromcountry music to a simulcast ofclassic hits stationWAKY-FM (103.5).[4] In February 2023, Word Media Group began programming WLVK under alocal marketing agreement; Word would launch a contemporaryworship music format branded as "The Sound", which in August would begin simulcasting on Word-ownedWLGK (94.7 FM).[5]
