WGLO (95.5FM, "95.5 GLO") is acommercialradio stationlicensed toPekin, Illinois, and serving thePeoria metropolitan area. The station is owned byCumulus Media, and broadcasts aclassic rockradio format.[3] Theradio studios and offices are on Eaton Street in Peoria. WGLO is anaffiliate of thesyndicatedBob & Tom Show in morningdrive time.

History

The stationsigned on the air on December 4, 1964; 60 years ago (1964-12-04). Its originalcall sign was WSIV-FM, asister station to WSIV1140 AM. That station is nowWVEL. WSIV-FM broadcast on 95.3 MHz, later moving to 95.5 MHz.

The station was assigned the WGLOcall sign by theFederal Communications Commission on January 2, 1979.[1]

The station featured aneasy listening format prior to the switch toclassic rock in 1998. Before being acquired by Cumulus Media in 2012, WGLO was owned byTownsquare Media.[4]
