WASP-75 is aF-type main-sequence star about 980 light-years away. The star is much younger than the Sun at approximately2.9±0.2 billion years.[5] WASP-75 is similar to the Sun in its concentration of heavy elements.[3]

Planetary system

In 2013 atransitinghot Jupiter planetb was detected on a tight, circular orbit,[6] and the planet was confirmed in 2018.[3] Its equilibrium temperature is1,688 K.[3]
