William Effingham Lawrence (August 22, 1896 – November 28, 1947) was an American actor of thesilent era.[1] He was born inBrooklyn, New York and died inLos Angeles, California.[1] Known by the nickname "Babe",[1] Lawrence appeared in 120 films between 1912 and 1947. Before entering the movie industry, he was anartist's model.[2] His work in that field included being anArrow Collar Man.[3]
