Vouvray (UK:/ˈvvr/,US:/vˈvr/,[3][4]French pronunciation:[vuvʁɛ]) is acommune in theIndre-et-Loiredepartment in centralFrance.[5] It is around 9 km east of the centre ofTours.

It is best known for its production ofwhite wine, rated among the best in France.
