Vix Note

TheVix Note orVyx Note (Hungarian:Vix-jegyzék orVyx-jegyzék) was a communiqué note sent byFernand Vix [hu] (or Vyx), a Frenchlieutenant colonel and delegate of theEntente, to the government ofMihály Károlyi of theFirst Hungarian Republic, notifying them of the Entente's intention to make Hungary evacuate and withdraw from more territory than agreed in theArmistice of Belgrade. The note ultimately contributed to the downfall of the First Republic and the establishment of theHungarian Soviet Republic, and is credited with bringing about the end of Hungarian rule over the region ofTransylvania.[1][2][3][4]
