Island in Tasmania, Australia

Visscher Island is an island, with an area of 3.4ha, in south-easternTasmania, inAustralia.

It is part of theSloping Island Group, lying close to the south-eastern coast of Tasmania around theTasman andForestier Peninsulas. It is part of theTasman National Park.[1]

Flora and fauna

Recorded breedingseabird species arelittle penguin,white-faced storm-petrel,Pacific gull,kelp gull andCaspian tern. OccasionallyAustralian fur sealshaul-out there in small numbers. Themetallic skink is present.[1]
