She is one of the twenty-seven daughters of Daksha, who married the moon-godChandra. Vishākhā is the sixteenth nakshatra of thezodiac, ruled by the planetJupiter,Brihaspati orGuru, It is also supposed to be the birth star of the goddessSita.[1]
