Virginia's 27th Senate district is one of 40 districts in theSenate of Virginia. It has been represented byRepublicanTara Durant since 2024.[3]
District 27 is located in the northernShenandoah Valley and far westernD.C. metropolitan area, covering all ofClarke County,Frederick County,Fauquier County, and theCity of Winchester, as well as parts ofCulpeper County,Loudoun County, andStafford County.[3]
The district overlaps with Virginia's1st,5th,7th, and10th congressional districts, and the2nd,10th,18th,29th,31st,33rd, and88th districts of theVirginia House of Delegates.[4] It borders the state ofWest Virginia.[1]
