Town in the west of ancient Pontus

Virasia was a town in the west ofancient Pontus, inhabited inByzantine times.[1] According to theTabula Peutingeriana it was on the road fromAntoniopolis throughAnadynata toAmasia, 16M.P. from the latter.[2]

Its site is located nearDoğantepe,Asiatic Turkey.[1][3]
