Vincent Nilsson is a Swedish jazz trombonist and arranger.
Nilsson played in the orchestra on theMiles Davis recordingAura in 1985.[1]
Nilsson recordedJazz Trombone Spirituals forStoryville Records in 1998.[2] On the album, he used mutes andmultiphonics.[3] His second album for Storyville wasMore Spirituals.[4] It was recorded in August 2004, with pianistHorace Parlan, guitarist John Sund, bassist Bo Stief, plus Ayi Solomon and Eliel Lazo on vocals and percussion, and Emmanel Amadasun on vocals.[4]
Nilsson has been a member of theDR Big Band for several decades, and conducted and arranged theirSpirituals album.[5] He also played on theirThe Jazz Ballad Song Book recording with trumpeterRandy Brecker.[6]
