Vilanova de la Barca (Catalan pronunciation:[ˌbilaˈnɔβɛðelaˈβaɾkɛ]) is amunicipality in thecomarca ofSegrià inCatalonia, Spain. It is situated at the confluence of theSegre andCorb rivers. TheUrgell canal providesirrigation water for growing cereals and forage plants. The municipality is linked toLleida andBalaguer by the C-1313 road and aFGC railroad.
