Viśuddhacāritra (Sanskrit:विशुद्धचारित्र; also known asPure Practice), is one of the four great primarily or eternally evolvedbodhisattvas mentioned in the 15th chapter of theLotus Sutra.[1][2] He is considered to represent the "purity" characteristic ofbuddhahood, "Nirvana's freedom from all that is impure."[3]
