Vetle Vinje (born 14 March 1962) is aNorwegian competitionrower and Olympic medalist.
He competed in themen's coxed pair event at the1984 Summer Olympics.[1] He received a silver medal inquadruple sculls at the1988 Summer Olympics inSeoul, together withAlf Hansen,Rolf Thorsen, andLars Bjønness.[2] Vinje received a silver medal inquadruple sculls in the 1987 world championships, with the same team.
He represented the clubBærum RK. He is a son ofFinn-Erik Vinje and is married to politicianKristin Vinje.
Vinje has acand.scient. degree from 1989 and adr.scient. degree from 1999, both in geophysics, from theUniversity of Oslo.[3]
