TheVenetian Plain, orVenetian-Friulian Plain (Italian:Pianura Veneta orPianura Veneto-friulana) is a major geographical feature ofItaly. It extends approximately from the RiverAdige to the RiverIsonzo, in a southwest-to-northeast direction, including almost all the flatlands ofVeneto andFriuli. It is not properly related to thePo River basin, but it is often considered as part of thePo Valley since the flatlands ofVeneto andFriuli do not drain into the Po, but they effectively combine into an unbrokenplain. Sometimes, instead of the River Adige, theEuganei Hills andBerici Hills are considered to be its western border.
