12°58′33″N80°13′14″E / 12.9758°N 80.2205°E /12.9758; 80.2205Velachery taluk is ataluk of the city district of Chennai in theIndian state ofTamil Nadu. It was formed in December 2013 from parts of the erstwhile Mambalam-Guindy and Mylapore-Triplicane taluks.[1] It comprises the neighbourhoods ofBesant Nagar,Tharamani,Thiruvanmiyur andVelachery.
