Veera Kauppi (born 19 July 1997) is a Finnishfloorball player and formerfootballer.
Kauppi was born on 16 July 1997 inTampere, Finland. She started playing football and floorball at a young age. She is the sister of Finnish floorball playerOona Kauppi.[1]
She is regarded as one of the world's most prominent floorball players.[2] She has been awarded the Best Female Floorball Player in 2017, 2018, 2021 and 2023.[3] Since 2018 she has been playing in Sweden,[4] first forIKSU and since 2020 forTeam Thorengruppen.[5]
She is a Finland floorball international. She helped theFinland women's national floorball team achieve second place at the fourWomen's World Floorball Championships, in2015,2017,2021 and2023. She was also a Finland youth floorball international. She helped theFinland women's national under-19 floorball team achieve second place at the2014 and2016Under-19 World Floorball Championships.
Kauppi previously played football. She is the top point scorer of the Finland women's national floorball team. In 2015, she signed for Finnish football sideIlves. She made nine league appearances and scored five goals for the club. She was also a Finland football youth international. She mainly operated as a midfielder. She also operated as a striker.
