Vaseux Protected Area is aprotected area in theOkanagan region ofBritish Columbia,Canada. It was established on April 18, 2001 to protect the habitats of a number ofblue-listed andred-listed species, most notably the winterrangeland forCalifornia Bighorn Sheep. The protected area adds to the similarly sizedVaseux-Bighorn National Wildlife Area that was established by theCanadian Wildlife Service in 1979.^[2]
