Vangelis Panakis (Greek:Βαγγέλης Πανάκης; 8 June 1933 – 23 January 2017) was aGreek professionalfootballer who played as aforward forPanathinaikos and a later manager.[1] His real name was Panopoulos. He played in 14 matches for theGreece national football team from 1954 to 1962.[2] He was also part of Greece's team for theirqualification matches for the1954 FIFA World Cup.[3]
