Vanessa Kay Trump[1] (néePergolizzi, laterHaydon; born December 18, 1977) is an American model who is the ex-wife ofDonald Trump Jr. They were married from 2005 to 2018.

Early life

Vanessa Kay Pergolizzi[2] grew up in a townhouse on theUpper East Side of Manhattan[3] and attendedThe Dwight School,[4] a private school. Her stepfather, Charles Haydon, was a lawyer.[5][a] Her mother, Bonnie Kay Haydon, ran Kay Models, a modeling agency, and is ofDanish andSwedish origin.[8][9] Her maternal grandfather was Danish jazz musicianKai Ewans.[9][10]

Career

Trump worked as a model in her teens and 20s.[11] and was signed toWilhelmina Models.[12]

Trump appeared in a scene of the filmSomething's Gotta Give (2003).[13]

In the fall of 2003, Trump and her sister Veronika opened a nightclub called Sessa.[14]

In 2011, Trump appeared in an episode ofThe Apprentice, hosted by her father-in-law,Donald Trump. She also appeared in an episode ofBret Michaels: Life as I Know It (2010).[12][failed verification]

From 2010 to 2013, Trump released her own line of handbags called La Poshett.[15]

Personal life

During her teenage years, Trump dated local street gangster Valentín Rivera, aLatin Kings gang member.[16] According to Rivera, he ended the relationship when theNew York Post published a story that Trump was in a romantic relationship withLeonardo DiCaprio (DiCaprio's publicist denied the relationship).[17]

From 1998 to 2001, Trump dated Saudi princeKhalid bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud.[18] The relationship ended in 2001, when Khalid bin Bandar left the U.S. after his Saudi ambassador father,Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, was suspected of having indirect ties to individuals linked with theAl Qaedahijackers.[19]

On November 12, 2005, she married Donald Trump Jr. The wedding was held at theMar-a-Lago club in Florida; the service was officiated by Trump Jr.'s aunt, JudgeMaryanne Trump Barry.[20] Trump Jr. had proposed to her with a US $100,000 ring (equivalent to $161,000 in 2024) that he had received as a gift from a jeweler in exchange for proposing to her in front of paparazzi outside of the jeweler's store at theShort Hills mall inNew Jersey.[21]

The couple have five children together, the oldest of whom isKai Trump, born in May 2007.[22][23][24]

On March 15, 2018, Trump filed for an uncontested divorce inNew York.[4][25] In July 2018, they resolved a child custody issue,[26] and the divorce was settled at the end of 2018.[27]

Trump reportedly began a relationship with professional golferTiger Woods in November 2024. The relationship became public in March 2025, with Woods announcing it through Instagram.[28]
