Vanessa Arteaga, also known as justVanessa, is a former professionalvideo game player who playsfighting games. She is fromCalifornia.[2] Arteaga was the first pick in the draft of theChampionship Gaming Series video game league list of players,[3] excelling in the area offighting games[4] such asDead or Alive 4.[5] In the 2007 Championship Gaming Series Season, Vanessa went undefeated leading San Francisco to win first place in theDead or Alive 4 Female Individual season.[6] In the 2008 Championship Gaming Series Season, San Francisco Optx with a team of NinjaCW and Vanessa Arteaga finished 2nd to theBirmingham Salvo.[7]

After her time in the Championship Gaming Series, Vanessa became a member ofKat Gunn's professional gaming and cosplay team,[8] Less Than 3 (LT3). The team was sponsored byMad Catz.[9]

Vanessa also appeared on the reality television gaming competitionWCG Ultimate Gamer.
