Vanessa-Kim Zobel (born 8 February 1988) is a German politician from theChristian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU).[1] She was elected as amember of the German Bundestag in the2025 federal election.[1]
Vanessa-Kim Zobel attended the Stader private school from 2005 to 2007, from which she graduated with a university of applied sciences entrance qualification. From 2007, she completed her apprenticeship as abank teller atCommerzbank in Stade, which she completed in 2009. She remained loyal to Commerzbank until December 2021. From January 2022, until she was elected to the German Bundestag, she worked in private customer consulting at Volksbank Osterholz Bremervörde. Zobel is married to aprofessional soldier [de]. They live with their two children in Mehedorf.
In 2016, Zobel joined theCDU. In the same year, she was elected to thecity council ofBremervörde and became local mayor (Ortsbürgermeister [de]) of the village ofMehedorf [de]. Since 2021, she has also been deputymayor of the city of Bremervörde. In addition, Zobel is anassessor [de] on the board of the CDU district association ofRotenburg an der Wümme.
In 2024, Zobel was elected as the CDU'sdirect candidate for thein theStade I - Rotenburg IIfederal constituency, and she was also given 15th place on theCDU [de]'sstate list inLower Saxony.[2] During the election campaign, her focus was on the policy areas offinance,economy anddefence. She won the election with 36.3% of thefirst votes cast .[3]
