Valencian People's Initiative (Valencian: Iniciativa del Poble Valencià,IdPV) is aValencianist andecosocialistpolitical party, in theValencian Country,Spain. IdPV is a part of theCompromís coalition.[1]
According to one of its leaders, Pasqual Mollà, IdPV is an "ecosocialist andValencianist" party.[2] According to the documents of its founding congress, IdPV is "a political alternative to the left of classicalsocial democracy". IdPV has received a lot of support fromInitiative for Catalonia Greens, a very similar party that exists inCatalonia.

IdPV was founded afterEsquerra i país (Left and Country), an internal current ofUnited Left of the Valencian Country (EUPV), created a new political party. IdPV leftEUPV in 2008.
