Valchedram (Bulgarian:Вълчедръм[ˈvɤɫt͡ʃɛdrɐm]; also transliteratedVǎlčedrǎm,Vulchedrum, etc.) is a town in northwesternBulgaria, part ofMontana Province. It is the administrative centre ofValchedram Municipality, which lies in the northeastern part of Montana Province. As of December 2009, the town had a population of 3,817.[1]
Valchedram is located in the westernDanubian Plain, near theTsibritsa andDanube rivers. The first school in Valchedram was founded in 1780. The town has an imposingBulgarian Orthodox church of SaintParaskeva (built in 1936), as well as a small museum.

Besides the villages, the municipality also includes the Ibisha Islandnature reserve in the Danube. The population is mostlyBulgarian, with a significantRoma minority (around 30%).
