Víctor Ibáñez Pascual (Spanish pronunciation:[ˈbiɣtoɾiˈβaɲeθpasˈkwal]; born 21 April 1989) is a Spanish professionalfootballer who plays as agoalkeeper.
Born inBarcelona,Catalonia, Ibáñez was a product ofRCD Espanyol's youth system. He made his senior debut withthe reserves in 2007, inSegunda División B. After two unsuccessful loan spells atCD Castellón[1] andSD Eibar,[2] he left the club in 2011 and signed forLleida Esportiu; all of the sides competed in the same division.
Ibáñez joinedFC Cartagena of the third tier on 4 July 2012.[3] On 9 July 2013, after winning theRicardo Zamora Trophy in Group IV, he moved toUD Almería B in the same league.[4]
After being a regular starter, Ibáñez agreed to a two-year deal withSegunda División sideAD Alcorcón on 3 July 2014.[5] In September, however, after being deemed surplus to requirements by managerJosé Bordalás, he terminated his contract and signed forDeportivo Aragón the following month.[6]
On 15 July 2015, Ibáñez joinedCE L'Hospitalet on a one-year deal.[7] He moved abroad for the first time on 10 January 2017, signing withJ2 League clubFC Gifu.[8] He remained in Japan the following years, withSC Sagamihara,Montedio Yamagata[9] andMatsumoto Yamaga FC.[10]
