Speedy deletion nomination ofDraft:Test Draft

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to readthe guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using theArticle Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed onDraft:Test Draft requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done undersection G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguouscopyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy fromhttps://www.cisce.org/pdf/ISC-Class-XII-Syllabus-2020/20%20%20ISC%20Biology.pdf. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source ofinformation, but not as a source ofsentences. This part is crucial:say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violatorswill beblocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then youmust verify that externally by one of the processes explained atWikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, seeWikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look atWikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a questionhere.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you maycontest the nomination byvisiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line withWikipedia's policies and guidelines.S Philbrick(Talk)19:54, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you'veadded content to the articeAmsterdam Marathon without source information. I would encourage you to always add a source when you add new information. Didn't think a source was needed since the page already mentions the sponser in the infobox and since the sponser is already mentioned I also didn't think of any potential disputes that could be caused by the edit as it was done to standarize it along the lines of more popular marathon pages such asNew York City Marathon hence the formatting correction edit should be a minor edit in my opinion.Xoocit (talk)20:13, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

November 2024

[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did atInternational Society for Krishna Consciousness. Your edits appear to bedisruptive and have been or will bereverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia'spolicies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result inloss of editing privileges. Thank you. -Ratnahastin (talk)13:06, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The intention was to reduce the issues on the section, the section would be better read as a prose rather than with bullet points, moreover the section also contains citations from biased sources which are known to use categorization for the organization which have previously been dismissed as untrue, if you object to removing the issues listed in the issue template then I am fine either way. My motive was to make the content more clear and improve readability, the longer form bullet points are not the best way to summarize the incident, they give undue weightage to the incidents which are isolated but have a larger contribution in the article than they do in real life.
I suggested for starting a TP discussion with the other editor which was ignored, I started a discussion myself which was also ignored the same editor.Xoocit (talk)15:20, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in anedit war according to the reverts you have made onList of converts to Islam from Hinduism. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected tocollaborate with others, to avoid editingdisruptively, and totry to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article'stalk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at anappropriate noticeboard or seekdispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate torequest temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, youmay beblocked from editing. -Ratnahastin (talk)16:10, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reasons given for the removal of the content are not valid, moreover I have improved upon the sources earlier used to incorporate better sources, please check the changes made before threating me on my TP.Xoocit (talk)16:14, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related toIndia,Pakistan, andAfghanistan, a topic designated ascontentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics anddoesnot imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to ascontentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by theArbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipediaadministrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should editcarefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topicsprocedures, you may ask them at thearbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topichere. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the{{Ctopics/aware}} template.

  • Stop using sources for historical information that failWP:HISTRS. ReadWP:BLPCAT and don't add the name of the living people who haven't admitted their conversion. Similarly, you need to stop adding those names that have already left Islam. -Ratnahastin (talk)16:19, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Never sourced any historical information, Government of India sources are reliable for situations relating to Indian History, the content removed by you and the other editor includes people who have publically accepted their conversion thereby fulfillingWP:BLPCAT's requirement, other than that, the sources used (Indian Express) are considered reliable by concensus onWP:RS/PS. This topic might be good to discussion and dispute on a case-by-case basis on their article's talk page, rather than reverting back and forth reverting my edits.Xoocit (talk)16:25, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"Government of India" is not aWP:HISTRS. You are not in the position to claim that those "people who have publically accepted their conversion thereby fulfillingWP:BLPCAT's requirement". The person in the question is required to say that instead. -Ratnahastin (talk)16:38, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Never have I said, nor did I say that I am in a position, people do not publish news articles, mass-media companies do, and they are sourced from those the said people, some of those citations include interviews of people who have accepted their conversions, again saying that his might be better taken case-by-case rather than you threating me on my TP.
Pardon my ignorance but I have never used any sources outside of those that have been in place already on the wiki, all my sources were sourced from articles of those people, I did not crosscheck those sources as they've already been used on those people's page hence they were assumed to be reliable, thank you for noticing, you are welcome to removing those sources and all references of those claims of conversions by going on their articles and correcting editors who introduced them into the wiki in the first palce.Xoocit (talk)16:44, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I was making new articles following the2025 Delhi Legislative Assembly election and I noticed a red link, if the article already exists then it's alright to for a speedy deletion. I think it can be redirected to the original article since both names have been used interchangably by the person and the news sources covering him.Xoocit (talk)09:16, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
HiTaabii (talk), I think both the pages can be merged. Also we are all trying to create pages for the winners and the edits are overlapping. So actually, I stopped creating pages for now, after another page I createdAahir Deepak Chaudharyy popped up with a different spelling, just after I finished. Since all the sources site his name as Aahir Deepak Chaudharyy, I left it for editors to decide. May be these two can also be merged. SinceXoocit (talk) created it first, my article can be merged with his. Thanks and Happy editing!!!Davidindia (talk)12:52, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for that, due to the constant editing on the main election page I was unable to wikilink the pages there which probably contributed to the issue. Aahir Deepak Chaudharyy was the name used in the ballot, I have also tried to use the ballot names however the candidate has identified as Deepak Choudhary on his personal pages (https://www.instagram.com/deepakchoudharycouncillor/) so I opted for the latter. It is aWP:COMMONNAME issue.Xoocit (talk)13:05, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the replyXoocit (talk)!WP:COMMONNAME and other naming protocols and guideline policies are clear that the title page spelling should be commonly recognisable and as per the majority of the sources. All sources cited use the name given by the ECI affidavit and his identity documents. So the best thing is to merge my article with a redirect to the correct spelling that isAahir Deepak Chaudharyy. I am also bringing it to the notice of the senior editors/admins who can decide otherwise. Until then, it is appreciated if you don't create any more redirects/edits. Asking in good faith! Thanks and Happy Editing!!!Davidindia (talk)14:20, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination ofShyam Sharma (politician)

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to readthe guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using theArticle Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed onShyam Sharma (politician) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done undersection G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following adeletion discussion, atWikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shyam Sharma (politician). When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you maycontest the nomination byvisiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hi Xoocit. Thank you for your work onPradhan Mantri SVANidhi Scheme. Another editor,North8000, has reviewed it as part ofnew pages patrol and left the following comment:

Good start. BTW the common meaning of "scheme" in the US has negative connotations ; you might want to use a different word. Happy editing!

JF-17 claim

[edit]

Several sources including Indian ones confirm that the jets which downed/crashed including the one in Pampore were Indian. You're introducing a claim based on a sole unverified source contradictingthese verified reports. I'm removing it. If you intend to add it then include strong, credible sources that don't contradict verified information.Aliyiya5903 (talk)05:21, 7 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please open a TP discussion on the main page and list your several sources there.Xoocit (talk)05:27, 7 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
