Hi,
As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to theOxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please seehere for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.
We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over tothe Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.
You may also wish to attendthe next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watchWikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.
We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

Thanks for uploadingFile:Manoj Kumar.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under aclaim of fair use. However, it is currentlyorphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (seeour policy for non-free media).

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you toreview other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing atwo-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are notautoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to onlya small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located atSpecial:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obviousvandalism orBLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (seeWikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be foundhere.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.Courcelles (talk)18:31, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploadingFile:Nimmi.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim offair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails ourfirst non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}},without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking onthis link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per ournon-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at theMedia copyright questions page. Thank you.Sreejith K (talk)07:40, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, andwelcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such asDo Aur Do Paanch (1980 film), but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. If you believe that the article isnot a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under license allowed by Wikipedia, then you should do one of the following:
It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to followWikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, seeWikipedia's policies and guidelines.
If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so atthis temporary page. Leave a note atTalk:Do Aur Do Paanch (1980 film) saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to readthe guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using theArticle Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed onHum (film) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done undersection G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clearcopyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy fromhttp://www.cinecurry.com/movie/hindi/hum#movie=overview. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source ofinformation, but not as a source ofsentences. This part is crucial:say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violatorswill beblocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then youmust verify that externally by one of the processes explained atWikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, seeWikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look atWikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a questionhere.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you maycontest the nomination byvisiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line withWikipedia's policies and guidelines. The Banner talk21:58, 17 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The articleA Beautiful Mind... of a Gladiator has beenproposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may bedeleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the{{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in youredit summary or onthe article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing{{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop theproposed deletion process, but otherdeletion processes exist. In particular, thespeedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, andarticles for deletion allows discussion to reachconsensus for deletion.Closedmouth (talk)04:10, 25 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploadingFile:Waheeda Rehman.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim offair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails thefirst non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may haveno free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did toShilpa Shirodkar. Doing so violates Wikipedia'sneutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia.Diff:[1] Any attempt to summarise an opinion, such as the overall critical response of a film, must be attributed to a secondary source that describes that overall critical response.Cyphoidbomb (talk)00:45, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
