Penne

[edit]

I must object vociferously that none the pastas on your alt's userpage are penne. I can send you some for reference, as I presently have a surplus of them. (Rigate, of course.) ~ Jenson (SilverLocust💬)07:25, 8 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I've got it covered, this bowl should do.

Pennecaster gets lots of things wrong, including her opinions about what counts as penne. Pennecaster loves to be really wrong all the time, you see. I just let her be.Sennecaster (Chat)18:05, 8 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

hidden versions

[edit]

Hi there :)

I've not been very active here for the last decade or so and came back a few weeks ago, so some things are new and confusing for me. one of them isthis here. "hidden" seems to mean that it's like a revert that does not appear in the history? what would be the best way for me to notice these? I touched a lot of articles in the last month or so, so this almost drowned on my side. I'd like to know how to actually see the changes so I can fix them without losing other additions/changes that might have been in the same edits for example. also, I'm now craving a warm bowl of penne-noodle soup :DSarefo (talk)05:32, 11 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Penne-noodle soup is delicious. Therevdel criteria means that this is something that makes copyright violations inaccessible to most users. It's not able to be copied. I can provide you sources if they aren't in the article (you'd have to get another admin to do it right now, sorry), but I can't give you the actual text. Revision Deletion is used to hide revisions that should not be made public for everyone.I don't know how you'd go about detecting these besides watchlisting for reverts. 00:25, 12 October 2025 (UTC)Pennecaster (Chat with Senne)00:25, 12 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks and a question and observation re history merge list

[edit]

Hey, thanks for your work onWikipedia:WikiProject History Merge/11, coming quickly on the heels ofmy edit there. I don't normally cross-check other users' work on the history merge lists, but in that particular case, I only did 25 history merges (as indicated in my edit summary linked above) but was actually intending to do 30, but my time was taken up by complicated operations atList of ECW World Television Champions (which was on the list) andECW World Television Championship (which wasn't, but was inspired by the previously mentioned entry). So I wanted to find out what I'd missed out on, so to speak. Not that I mind you (or anyone else) taking over; many hands make (relatively) light work, after all, but I was just curious.

Thus here comes my question. I noticed while cross-checking that you deletedTalk:Information Leakage Detection and Prevention underCSD G8. Would you mind undeleting it and perhaps history-merging it withTalk:Data loss prevention software, so the page histories match? As a non-admin I can't access the deleted text, butmetadata about it that I can see shows that it was slight but substantial enough in my books to be kept (unless it really wasn't constructive). There's no policy or guideline for or against this, but I like to make sure that article and talk page histories match as far as possible, hence I inspired my friend to writean essay about talk pages being created before articles.

Also, just a tip re history merges involving page deletions: deletions are reflected straight away in Wikidata but undeletions aren't, so I've undone a couple of your Wikidata edits to re-connect pages to Wikidata items. SeeWikipedia:History merging#Wikidata.Graham87 (talk)10:53, 19 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Done, histmerged, and acknowledged about Wikidata ^^Sennecaster (Chat)14:08, 19 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
