Welcome!

[edit]

Hi, and welcome to theMilitary history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history.

A few features that you might find helpful:

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask any of theproject coordinators or any other experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome, and we are looking forward to seeing you around!Kirill [talk] [pf]00:30, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. You can create asubpage by putting a slash after your User: in the URL, likeUser:Rollersox/My own Subpage (which I've moved). --Mentifisto01:05, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Time on Wikipedia

[edit]

Go to the My Preferences tag at the top of your screen. It shows the time and date of your registration and your current edit count. If you want to keep track of how long you've been around, put these userboxen on your userpage.

Icon This user has been on Wikipedia for16 years, 9 months and 19 days.
This user has been a member ofWikipedia sinceFebruary 9, 2009.

Obviously, substitue your own information. If you want a more accurate summary of your edit count, go tohere and fill in your username. Sadly, either this computer doesn't like the site or they've changed it (it used to have pie charts and a list of your most edits pages). When you've discovered how long you've been around, tell me. I'm curious. I thought you'd been around longer than I. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds15:10, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I really doubt it...you were posting when I was a baby in diapers :P.--Rollersox (talk)01:18, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Then here! Have a dummy (what you call a pacifier)! :P Oh, well. Must have just seen your name in the wrong places and it got me confused (i.e. places I hadn't been to yet). --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds10:15, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you editedPark Chanyeol, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation pageKorean. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles.Read theFAQ • Join us at theDPL WikiProject.

March Madness 2017

[edit]

G'day all, please be advised that throughout March 2017 the Military history Wikiproject is running itsMarch Madness drive. This is a backlog drive that is focused on several key areas:

  • tagging and assessing articles that fall within the project's scope
  • updating the project's currently listed A-class articles to ensure their ongoing compliance with the listed criteria
  • creating articles that are listed as "requested" on the project's various task force pages or other lists of missing articles.

As with past Milhist drives, there are points awarded for working on articles in the targeted areas, with barnstars being awarded at the end for different levels of achievement.

The drive is open to all Wikipedians, not just members of the Military history project, although only work on articles that fall (broadly) within the military history scope will be considered eligible. More information can be foundhere for those that are interested, and members can sign up as participants at that page also.

The drive starts at 00:01 UTC on 1 March and runs until 23:59 UTC on 31 March 2017, so please sign up now.

For the Milhist co-ordinators. Regards,AustralianRupert (talk) &MediaWiki message delivery (talk)07:24, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
