There is one thing I've read somewhere but now I can't remember where. It is about Albanian Declaration of Independence. Is it true that it was written inOttoman Turkish alphabet (also)? Here on Robert Elsie's website can be found a list of people who signed theAlbanian declaration of independence. There is someone with name "D. Emanuel" who signed himself on the declaration. His name is not listed in the section that explained who was present on November 28, 1912 in Vlore. His name is not listed in the article about declaration nor in the source for the list of the deputies of Assembly of Vlore in that article nor within categorySignatories of the Albanian Declaration of Independence. Do you know who is D. Emanuel?

I believe this is Dhimiter Emanuel, part of the Albanian community of Romania, probably Bucharest. I am not certain if he was part of the Romanian Albanian community before or after the declaration of independence.--Rereward (talk)04:56, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Seethis article (first paragraph) andthis article.This article lists Emanuel as a Korçan, which of course could be true (Romanian Albanian living in Korça).Also this. I have a great book on all the acts / memorandums of the Albanian renaissance, concluding with the declaration, but unfortunately it leaves out a list with biographical data. Of course, books printed in communist times left out many things intentionally. • Does this great book mention more details about the text of the first Albanian declaration of independence (26 April 1911) or Gerče Memorandum I described inthis article?
• There are many works which mention that number of signatories of Albanian declaration of Independence was 37. Some of them signed declaration in Vlore while some of them did it in Ioannina a couple of days earlier if I am not wrong. Rest of the signatories signed declaration after independence was declared. Yes the book I mentioned contains 4 pages of a portion of the memorandum written on June 23, 1911 at Gërçe. Ardian Klosi (translator) committed suicide.http://www.panorama.com.al/2012/04/27/vetevaret-ardian-klosi-njofton-te-shoqen-me-sms/. Publisher "K&B" was K = Klosi + B = Benzenburg (his wife). Republishing will be difficult.

1. revisions, corrections, expansions and reprints of author's next book on Scanderbeg

The cover says "expanded riprint", apparently only months after the first printing. The preface to the reprint (p. 5) is written by A. Klosi. He mentioned "needed corrections" (I assume of minor grammatical nature?) and the addition of 2 source documents in the appendix. Also an afterword by the author about why and how he approached Scanderbeg, and how he decided how to spell proper names. The Klosi preface acknowledges the reception of the book in Albania: he mentions unnecessary nationalistic extremes but praises the thirst of the Albanian public for scientific works of this nature.Rereward (talk)12:12, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey y'all, theApril 2021 WikiProject Military History Reviewing Drive begins at 00:01 UTC on April 1, 2021 and runs through 23:59 UTC on April 31, 2021. Points can be earned through reviewing articles on theAutoCheck report, reviewing articles listed atWP:MILHIST/ASSESS, reviewing MILHIST-tagged articles atWP:GAN orWP:FAC, and reviewing articles submitted atWP:MILHIST/ACR.
