We don't mention rivalries unless they are significant enough that independent sources (such as newspapers) have published items about the rivalry. Reference a reliable, independent source written about the rivalry if you want to mention that. And a source that simply calls the school rivals in the context of a given game is not sufficient since that is a term that is used as asyno9nmy for opponent.

Two reasons.

1. School articles arenot written for the students or the staff. They are written for general readers, who don't care about such details.
2. For privacy reasons we don't mention non-notable staff (other then the highest level) or students by name.

Regardless, please readWP:BURDEN. It's a quick read, but I'll sum it up for you here: The burden of proof lies with the editor who introduces the content. For example, if I were to introduce material that says Jason Momoa works for Bank of America, I would be the one who has to verify that he does work at Bank of America, if I can find the evidence from areliable source. If I can't, the content goes the way of the dodo. You're not following WP:BURDEN by telling us to "go verify it ourselves".
