Speedy deletion nomination ofNivia Sports

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to readthe guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using theArticle Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed onNivia Sports, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done undersection G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please readthe guidelines on spam andWikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you maycontest the nomination byvisiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line withWikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. DGG ( talk)00:05, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed onSwami Pragyanand Giri requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Nivia Sports

[edit]

Hello, I wanted to let you know that I have changed a few of your recent edits toNivia Sports. I appreciate that you care about the topic and are trying to improve the article. However, in many cases your changes do not conform to the generally accepted Wikipedia style. For instance, only the first iteration of a word or phrase in an article should be linked.Unnecessary capitalization should be avoided, such as in phrases like "Sports Equipment." This is a common noun and does not need capitalization. Unnecessary bold text is also to be avoided, as are "&" and "etc."

It would be helpful if you would read up onWikipedia's Manual of Style. I often find it useful. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks.Jessicapierce (talk)18:06, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I have again removed your edits toNivia Sports. Please refer tothis page of Wikipedia's Manual of Style for details. "As a rule of thumb editors should only link the term's first occurrence in the text of the article." Repeated links to the same word are not necessary, and, generally, neither is adding links to articles which don't yet exist (red links). Thanks.Jessicapierce (talk)21:04, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wedging content before references

[edit]

Hi there, re:this edit, please don't wedge content in front of existing references. This is confusing and makes it seem like the content you added is supported by the reference that followed it, which is not the case. References belong after the content they support. Also, since the content you added was unsourced, it was removed. I'd be very careful about the edits you make to that article, because that article already looks like a giant promotional piece. Thank you,Cyphoidbomb (talk)05:51, 15 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Doing so violates Wikipedia'sneutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia.Diffs:[1] "Grate cause" (or I assume you mean "great cause"), "hard earn money for the cause",[2] "Civilans' devotion was observed remarkable."[3] "the noble cause"[4] "more patriotic", etc. All of this stuff is subjective and only serves to promote the subject. False ratings

[edit]

Bharat Ke Veer is notis not of top importance to WikiProject India. How would you even be in a position to make the determination, with a scant 211 edits to your credit? It is alsonot of top importance to the Military History WikiProject. What community guidelines were you following when you made this determination? And what compelled you to rate itFeatured Article status when it's laden with grammatical errors? You clearly have no idea what you were doing, as it's not even C-class yet. This sort of thing really smells like promotion. I don't know what your personal connection toBharat Ke Veer is, but you'd better start dialing back the marketing, because you're starting to make really weird mistakes that could result in the article being deleted.Cyphoidbomb (talk)15:31, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination ofUnited Nations Information Centres

This has been done undersection G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguouscopyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy fromhttps://unic.un.org/aroundworld/unics/en/whatWeDo/index.asp. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. April 2018 Milhist Backlog Drive

[edit]

G'day all, please be advised that throughout April 2018 theMilitary history Wikiproject is running its annual backlog elimination drive. This will focus on several key areas:

  • tagging and assessing articles that fall within the project's scope
  • adding or improving listed resources on Milhist's task force pages
  • updating the open tasks template on Milhist's task force pages
  • creating articles that are listed as "requested" on the project's various lists of missing articles.

As with past Milhist drives, there are points awarded for working on articles in the targeted areas, with barnstars being awarded at the end for different levels of achievement.

The drive is open to all Wikipedians, not just members of the Military history project, although only work on articles that fall (broadly) within the scope of military history will be considered eligible. This year, the Military history project would like to extend a specific welcome to members ofWikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red, and we would like to encourage all participants to consider working on helping to improve our coverage of women in the military. This is not the sole focus of the edit-a-thon, though, and there are aspects that hopefully will appeal to pretty much everyone.

The drive starts at 00:01 UTC on 1 April and runs until 23:59 UTC on 30 April 2018. Those interested in participating can sign uphere.

Hello Raavimohantydelhi. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia'smandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category ofconflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies onneutral point of view and whatWikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin toblack-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on thetalk page of the article in question if an article exists.

If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all.  The comment the reviewer left was:
Asfringe science not recognised by the mainstream medical community, the content needs to be put into context i.e. it needs to be established that homeopathy demonstrably does not work. The rest of the content needs to be rewritten so that it's not an advert.

Your submission atArticles for creation:Homeopathy for Acutes and Emergencies (August 10)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at theArticles for creation help desk or useWikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Bonadea was: This submission iscontrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: The only part of the draft that would be possible to include in a Wikipedia article is the first two sentences, and two sentences don't make a complete encyclopedia article. The draft reads like an advertisement for the book and for homeopathy, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia; as a previous reviewer pointed out, any article that touches on the topic of homeopathy has to make it very clear that homeopathy does not work, and this article does not do that at all.

Congratulations for being 1 of the 19 candidates for the Board of Trustees election

[edit]

Greetings. I am quite impressed with your work and participation on wikipedia and sister projects. So I just wanted to drop a message of wiki camaraderie. You've mentioned on your evaluation form "I have 25 years of golden experience as Director, & CEO in an SME in India. Managed many technical, financial, and operational strategies until retired. Worked on the govt projects collaborated with the world's topmost IT brands like Google, Intel, IBM, & Dell. Implemented several AI, & ML technologies across the world. Experienced in making strategies and roadmap to build a working system." That really is inspiring indeed. I was just curious about what services did your org provide to the many different MNCs and the Indian government. I've always been an admirer of new-age AI, ML companies and the people who work for in these fields.

You've also mentioned that your org received Industry Champion Award, D & D Award, India 5000 MSME Award. I was curious about the D&D award. Forgive my ignorance but I've never heard of it.

Anyways, I don't want to bother you much. You don't have to reply. If you do, leave out all personal info. I wish you the best for the election. Btw, you've mentioned on your en.wiki profile that you have an IQ of 186. That is really amazing. Is that the mensa score? I've always been a dullard according to my parents. Your contributed article,Federation International Gymnastics

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to readthe guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using theArticle Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page,Federation International Gymnastics. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page –International Gymnastics Federation. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged forspeedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out atInternational Gymnastics Federation. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it atthe article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you maycontest the nomination byvisiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line withWikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact thedeleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a requesthere. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest thearticle creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions.Fram (talk)09:18, 29 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Raavimohantydelhi andFram: OK, there's a lot to unpack here, so I'll try to make this concise.
Looking at the guideline pageWP:RPURPOSE, "Federation International Gymnastics" might have appeared to be a plausible WP:REDIRECT toInternational Gymnastics Federation
Looking at the actual text of the now deleted article, there would appear to have been no indication that it was anything else than a duplication of the existing article. I see no good reason for any otherWP:ADMIN to set aside the WP:A10 speedy deletion. If another admin is minded to use their discretion to reverse this, I would ask them to consider these notes.
Looking again at the actual text of the now deleted article, it contained the phrase "Established in 1881 in Lausanne, Switzerland" with a purported reference tothis on the FIG website. This would appear to me an AI-generated "hallucination".
As always, please do let me know if you have any questions about what I have written here.

Problems with page creations

[edit]

My attention was recently called to your editing by a nomination of a page for speedy deletion. On checking, I was astonished at what I saw. Just over a third of the articles you have created have been deleted. If we count all pages that you have created, not just articles, almost half have been deleted. There has to be some kind of problem if there's such a high failure rate. Looking at the history, I see that there have been several reasons for deletion, including lack of evidence of notability of subjects, but recently the dominant reason has been that you have been rapidly using an AI tool to create articles, and then posting them, without even checking them for accuracy, or at best doing seriously inadequate checking. It looks as though you are attaching more importance to getting large numbers of articles created than to their quality. If so, please bear in mind that one well-written article is better than ten badly written articles, and in the case of articles including false contentnone is better than any at all.

Please review and carefully consider the reasons why articles you have created have been deleted, and try to avoid making the same mistakes again. Above all, don't continue to post unreviewed AI-generated text; if you do, it is likely that you will be blocked from editing by an administrator, to prevent damage to the encyclopaedia by creation of misinformation.JBW (talk)17:08, 10 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the{{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in youredit summary or onthe article's talk page.
