Dear PeaceNT, thank you for taking part inmy RfB. As you may know, it wasnot passed by bureaucrats.
I would, however, like to thank you for taking the time to voice your support, despite concerns cited by the opposition. Although RfA/B isn't really about a person, but more about the community, I was deeply touched and honoured by the outpouring of support and interest in the discussion. I can only hope that you don't feel your opinion was not considered enough - bureaucrats have to give everyone's thoughts weight.
I also hope that the results of this RfB lead to some change in the way we approach RfBs, and some thought about whether long-entrenched standards are a good thing in our growing and increasingly heterogenous community.
I was a little miserable after the results came out, so I'm going to spread the love via dancing hippos. As you do. :)
I remain eager to serve you as an administrator and as an editor. If at any point you see something problematic in my actions, please do not hesitate tocall me out. ~Riana⁂13:47, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi PeaceNT,
Inhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2008_February_24 you wrote about the Anarchopedia Deletion review "Deletion endorsed; will provide deleted content if requested"... well, I will try to make a draft of it in my user space, as it is adviced in the discussion. Thus, could you provide me the deleted content, or tell me how to obtain it?
Cheers

Hi PeaceNT! Thank-you for your comments in my RfA and the support you offered :-).

I've just selected this for DYK, but felt the hook didn't give much sense of the article, so I've added a description of the film sourced from the article, so that the hook now runs:
"...thatA Walk to Beautiful, a film about fiveEthiopian women withchildbirth injuries, was picked by theInternational Documentary Association as the best featuredocumentary of2007?"
Hope this is ok? Regards,Espresso Addict(talk)00:45, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for uploadingImage:Operation Homecoming- Writing the Wartime Experience cover.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takescopyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine thelicense and thesource of the image. If you know this information, then you can add acopyright tag to theimage description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at themedia copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page.STBotI (talk)15:08, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

You closedWikipedia:Articles for deletion/A.W. Bulldog (wrestler), but there is also a redirect lurking athttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A.w._bulldog. Can you also delete that, save the creator of the deleted article recreating it at the redirect page. Cheers.Darrenhusted (talk)14:49, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi PeaceNT,
Hope I haven't just stepped on your toes. Cheeser1 replaced a speedy tag you removed fromUser:QueenAdelaide/List of Boratisms. Normally that should be the end of it, and another AfD required, but in this case I think he's right about the interpretation of CSD G4, so I'vegone ahead and deleted it. If you disagree, DRV isn't necessary, feel free to recreate without consulting me, I won't mind. But the article has been userfied for 3 months now with no improvement; it was pretty obviously being used as a storage place for deleted content, not a place to improve the article. --barneca (talk)23:58, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

| PeaceNT...Thank you for supportingmy nomination for adminship. Through it I have become aware of a great many people who can help me in my future editing endeavors. Even though I was not promoted, your support shows that I still have something to contribute to Wikipedia, even if it is minor edits to fix spelling and grammar to working in WikiProjects to help others make great articles. If you wish to further discuss the nomination, please useits talk page. Stop bymy talk page anytime, even if it is just to say hello. Have a wonderful day! -LA @04:33, 30 April 2008 (UTC) |
