I wanted to ask aboutyour recent edit to the article forEast Brunswick, New Jersey in which you made significant cuts to some of the links provided in references. As the person who added these references, I am cognizant of the fact that bloated references can be confusing to those maintaining the article and in many cases (especially sources from Google Books), I am aware that the links can be significantly shortened. But in other cases, it's often easier to just grab the URL that comes from the Google search, bloat and all, and just paste it into the reference in the article. Is there any mechanism / automated process that you used to trim those links or is there some procedure that can be used when looking up the reference that can grab a pre-trimmed link? Thanks for the edit and thanks in advance for the information.Alansohn (talk)17:06, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
