Welcome back, Tristessa. Just thought I'd note a couple of observations about that mediation:
Just thought you might like to know. Though I'm also a member of MedCom, I've not taken it because of potential bias on my part: I hate disputes about music genres and don't feel that I can bring anything to them. Best regards,TransporterMan (TALK)21:33, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi TDSA, has there been any progress on the RfM? Looking at the case talk page, I see a great summary you added a couple of weeks ago, but nothing much since. It is a tough subject, I know. By all means email me if you want to discuss.Sunray (talk)01:18, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for the work you did on the articleT.B. Joshua back in 2008. I continued cleaning up all the references as they have been pretty much in the same state as they were in 2008. Many did not actually reference to anything related to the article and some were simply put there to make the article appear more neutral.Right now there is a heated discussion going on between me and one particular person who seems to be very interested in keeping this article as criticism-free as possible yet. I wouldn't call this an edit war yet but I would like to ask you to keep an eye on the article and its discussion. There seems to be a very heavy focus from at least one lobby group on it.

There is an RfC atOathkeeper regarding whether the site Westeros.org meets the criteria for an expertself-published source (and is therefore suitable for use on Wikipedia). Hello! I am soliciting comments for an RfC that iscurrently open on the "Glengarry Glen Ross (film)" page. There is disagreement about where the film was set (New York vs. Chicago).
One of the issues is whether it isoriginal research to cite to elements in the film itself (including props, dialogue, and a statement in the end credits that it was "filmed on location in New York City") to establish setting.
Response so far in the RfC has been mixed. Comments welcome!Xanthis (talk)13:22, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Following acommunity discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached toprovisionally suspend the administrative permissions of users who have been inactive for one year (i.e. administrators who have not made any edits or logged actions in more than one year). As a result of this discussion, your administrative permissions will be removed pending your return if you do not return to activity within the next month. If you wish to have these permissions reinstated should this occur, please post to theWikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per there-sysopping process (i.e. as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised, that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions, and that you have not been inactive for a three-year period of time). If you remain inactive for a three-year period of time, including the present year you have been inactive, you will need to request reinstatement atWP:RFA. This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts.MadmanBot (talk)00:30, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Tristessa de St Ange. This message is intended to notify administrators of important changes to the protection policy.
Extended confirmed protection (also known as "30/500 protection") is a new level of page protection that only allows edits from accounts at least 30 days old and with 500 edits. The automatically assigned"extended confirmed" user right was created for this purpose. The protection level was created followingthis community discussion with the primary intention of enforcing various arbitration remedies that prohibited editors under the "30 days/500 edits" threshold to edit certain topic areas.
In July and August 2016,a request for comment established consensus for community use of the new protection level. Administrators are authorized to apply extended confirmed protection to combat any form of disruption (e.g. vandalism, sock puppetry, edit warring, etc.) on any topic, subject to the following conditions:
Please reviewthe protection policy carefully before using this new level of protection on pages. Thank you.

Hello,
Please note thatTOTP based two-factor authentication is now available for all administrators. In light of the recent compromised accounts, you are encouraged to add this additional layer of security to your account. It may be enabled on yourpreferences page in the "User profile" tab under the "Basic information" section. For basic instructions on how to enable two-factor authentication, please see thedeveloping help page for additional information.Important: Be sure to record the two-factor authentication key and the single use keys. If you lose your two factor authentication and do not have the keys, it's possible that your account will not be recoverable. Furthermore, you are encouraged to utilize a unique password and two-factor authentication for the email account associated with your Wikimedia account. This measure will assist in safeguarding your account from malicious password resets. Comments, questions, and concerns may be directed to thethread on the administrators' noticeboard.MediaWiki message delivery (talk)20:33, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Tristessa de St Ange.
A new user group,New Page Reviewer, has been created in a move to greatly improve the standard of new page patrolling. The user right can be granted by any admin atPERM. It is highly recommended that admins look beyond the simple numerical threshold and satisfy themselves that the candidates have the required skills of communication and an advanced knowledge of notability and deletion. Admins are automatically included in this user right.
It is anticipated that this user right will significantly reduce the work load of admins who patrol the performance of the patrollers. However, due to the complexity of the rollout, some rights may have been accorded that may later need to be withdrawn, so some help will still be needed to some extent when discovering wrongly applied deletion tags or inappropriate pages that escape the attention of less experienced reviewers, and above all, hasty and bitey tagging for maintenance. User warnings are availablehere but very often a friendly custom message works best.
If you have any questions about this user right, don't hesitate to join us atWT:NPR.(Sent to all admins).MediaWiki message delivery (talk)13:48, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tristessa de St Ange! You're receiving this notification because you were previously subscribed to theFeedback Request Service, but you haven't made any edits to the English Wikipedia in over three years.
In order to declutter the Feedback Request Service list, and to produce a greater chance of active users being randomly selected to receive invitations to contribute, you've been unsubscribed, along with all other users who have made no edits in three years or more.
You do not need to do anything about this - if you are happy to not receive Feedback Request Service messages, thank you very much for your contributions in the past, and this will be the last you hear from the service. If, however, you would like to resubscribe yourself, you can follow the below instructions to do so:
{{Frs user|Tristessa de St Ange|limit}} underneath the relevant heading(s), wherelimit is the maximum number of requests you wish to receive for that category per month. If you've just come back after a wikibreak and are seeing this message, welcome back! You can follow the above instructions to re-activate your subscription. Likewise, if this is an alternate account, please consider subscribing your main account in much the same way.
Note that if you had a rename and left your old name subscribed to the FRS, you may be receiving this message on your new username's talk page still. If so, make sure your new account name is subscribed to the FRS, using the same procedure mentioned above.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask onthe Feedback Request Service talk page, or onthe Feedback Request Service bot's operator's talk page.Thank you!Message delivered to you with love byYapperbot :) | Is this wrong? Contactmy bot operator. | Sent at18:02, 9 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm seeing you're not around much anymore, which is a bit sad. I was reviewing some contribs from my previous account just looking for areas I used to be involved in that might make for interesting opportunities in the future, and was slightly amused to note that you closed a thread on ANI way back in 2006 about another editor accusing me of stalking with what appears to be the very first instance of a thread on ANI being hatted/closed (in this case as nonsense). You even remarked that it was 'non-standard' but 'warranted'. Seems like that's become pretty standard practice ;) Anyway, thanks for the trip down memory lane, and hope to see you around again. --WhoIs 127.0.0.1ping/loopback13:27, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
