Reminder of your Eastern Europe topic ban
[edit]Hello, your recentedit toKeith Kellogg quite clearly violates your topic ban on Eastern Europe, which was applied to youhere, given that a significant portion of the article is about exactly that. You should self revert.TylerBurden (talk)22:07, 13 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
- Mhorg, just following up on this, since you mentioned at SFR's talk page that you didn't realize edits like the Kellogg one would count. A few points:
- Thank you for self-reverting. It's a strong point in your favor that you did so.
- Even minor or obviously neutral edits can count if they're made on pages that are directly connected with the topic area. Since Kellogg's work in Eastern Europe is a major part of his notability, any edits to that page would be topic ban violations.
- While your work on sister projects is not covered by the ban, you should not edit here in ways that make it seem like you are using other projects as a way to bypass the ban. For example, you created and edited the Wikiquote page for Kellogg, adding as the only quote a comment of his about the war in Ukraine. That's totally fine. Then you edited his article here to add the Wikiquote link. Whether done intentionally or accidentally, this gives the appearance of ban gaming. I encourage you to think through the optics of further changes along those lines.
- Hope this helps.Firefangledfeathers (talk /contribs)17:21, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
- @Firefangledfeathers, ok, I will totally stay away from this topic. Thanks for the tip.Mhorg (talk)21:29, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Condemnation of Wikipedia editors

- This page was deleted:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Gonzalo_Lira_(4th_nomination) in 2023, before Gonzalo Lira's death. Some of these editors who deleted the article are indirectly responsible for Lira's death, not legally but morally. The edits that volunteer Wikipedia edit warriors makes have real consequences, deleting other people's hard work and dedication can literally kill people. Lira is one of a multitude of examples of how Wikipedia edits have real world consequences.
Currently on theGonzalo Lira talk page (October 8 2025), thanks for "!voting" to keep the article in 2024, you are a voice in the wilderness and should be honored.2A00:1370:8186:3825:F8D8:A280:79A3:63F8 (talk)07:54, 8 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
