First, upload the image if it is not on Wikipedia already. You can upload a new image atWikipedia:Upload. Then add [[Image:Filename.png]] to the page you want to add the image to, replacing Filename.png with the name of the image you want to use. Please let me know if there are any more questions. Thanks! --Mysdaaotalk02:17, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not necessarily. This is because Wikipedia is host to free images as well as non-free images. The rules on usage of non-free images is very strict, and basically means that they can't be used outside of the article(s) for which they specifically relate, so having them on your userpage would not be permitted. However, using a free image on your userpage is permitted, as long as it is not of an offensive nature. Although Wikipedia articles aren't censored, it's generally considered in poor tastes to have possibly offensive material on your user page. When on the image page, the licenses applied should indicate whether it is free or not. If it is marked with PD or public domain, if it has a GFDL or a CC (Creative Commons) license, then you should be ok to use it. Hope that helps, :-)\talk08:27, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there! As the primary contributor to the 13th Airborne Division article, I've been on a wikibreak, but am more than happy to re-examine the sources I used. I do believe all the info is correct and that webpage incorrect, but it can't hurt to recheck these things. It will take a few days for me to find those sources, however, sorry about that.Skinny87 (talk)18:27, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I do not understand the policy behind your adding of an apostrophe to the name of the article on the Island of Hawaii. How does it make anything "more efficient"? If you read the manual of style for the Hawaii project, it says to remove punctuation from the article titles, and significant effort has gone into that. This seems a step backwards. A separate issue is to use the ʻokina (via the template, not apostrophe) and kahako in the article text. But consensus was to not use them for words like "Hawaii" itself which is in most English dictionaries. Has this style been over-ruled?See Hawaii Manual of Style

G'day all, please be advised that throughout March 2017 the Military history Wikiproject is running itsMarch Madness drive. This is a backlog drive that is focused on several key areas:
tagging and assessing articles that fall within the project's scope
updating the project's currently listed A-class articles to ensure their ongoing compliance with the listed criteria
creating articles that are listed as "requested" on the project's various task force pages or other lists of missing articles.
As with past Milhist drives, there are points awarded for working on articles in the targeted areas, with barnstars being awarded at the end for different levels of achievement.
The drive is open to all Wikipedians, not just members of the Military history project, although only work on articles that fall (broadly) within the military history scope will be considered eligible. More information can be foundhere for those that are interested, and members can sign up as participants at that page also.
The drive starts at 00:01 UTC on 1 March and runs until 23:59 UTC on 31 March 2017, so please sign up now.

"Military history" is one of the most important subjects when speak of sum of all human knowledge. To support contributors interested in the area over various language Wikipedias, we intend to form a user group. It also provides a platform to share the best practices between military historians, and various military related projects on Wikipedias. An initial discussion was has been done between the coordinators and members of WikiProject Military History on English Wikipedia. Now this discussion has been taken to Meta-Wiki. Contributors intrested in the area of military history are requested to share their feedback and give suggestions atTalk:Discussion to incubate a user group for Wikipedia Military Historians.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the{{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in youredit summary or onthe file's talk page.
