PIA Word limit

[edit]

Apparently, we violated the 1,000-word limit set for the RfC discussions forWP:PIA. To trim it a bit, you can remove all points from my replies except for 1, 4, and 13 and edit your own accordingly. I am not sure if this is fine, but I suppose it is.Kelob2678 (talk)21:11, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I doubt an admin would enforce retroactively when it wasn’t clear if word limits apply, but they would be less amenable to further increasing word count after having been informed of the word limitBluethricecreamman (talk)21:44, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like you guys already notified @Jcgaylor then. I was going to let him know too. Thanks for that. It would be good to know for sure if the comments are just discarded in full if not cut down to 1,000 words or less? Or if he cannot go over the limit any further then? How does that work? Please ping me for the answer as I likely will not be back on this talk page otherwise.Iljhgtn (talk)21:55, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
They arent discarded. Most closers in my experience, are just skimming past 1000 words usually, even in topic areas without that word limit.
just dont engage with that rfc discussion anymore, and dont do 1000 words in rfcs, rms, or other formal discussion in the israel palestine spaceBluethricecreamman (talk)00:28, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ping: @Kelob2678, @Bluethricecreamman@Iljhgtn
Following the guidance of the involved administrator, I will preserve my comments as they stand, but refrain from further involvement. I feel I made all necessary comments, and no new arguments have been presented by the other side of the debate.Jcgaylor (talk)22:42, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
