TheIP Info feature has beendeployed to all wikis as a Beta Feature. Any autoconfirmed user may enable the feature using the "IP info" checkbox underPreferences →Beta features. Autoconfirmed users will be able to access basic information about an IP address that includes the country and connection method. Those with advanced privileges (admin, bureaucrat, checkuser) will have access to extra information that includes the Internet Service Provider and more specific location.

Not saying your block was wrong, but can we try to work with James over these issues? That Mick Lynch doesn't want an article on Wikipedia counts for nothing. He meets the notability threshold and an article has been written. It is unlikely to be deleted via AfD. Wikipedia's job is to ensure it complies with BLP. Erm.. I didn't see James' comment until after I issued the block. I came to the article after seeing Wikipedia ridiculed on a journalist's Facebook page, where a screenshot of an earlier vandalised version of the Lynch article was posted. I saw that James had already had a warning and I acted accordingly. I have no particular interest in the Lynch article as I am busy working onVirology. I think James just wants the article deleted, which is not at all likely. I've seen that you removed some of studies from the NIHR Evidence page for being primary sources. I have posted on the WikiProject Medicine talk pagehere about adding NIHR sources as part of my Wikipedia residency. The reasoning behind using NIHR Evidence is that even though some of the articles are based on primary sources they are chosen by a committee of medical professionals based on their importance, strength of evidence so in essence they go through sort of an evaluation or review. Also the reference removed from theAntimicrobial resistance article is a health technology assessment, I think that is counted as strong evidence. What do you think? Hi, I presume are referring to this edit[1]. I removed the addition by a newly registered editor because it was based on a single primary study and there were spelling errors. I think we need much more evidence to support the claim that three days of antibiotic treatment in kids with pneumonia is as effective as seven. is the singular form "rotavirus" generally used when the virus is referred to by its common name? i had assumed otherwise because "Rotaviruses" was used in the second sentence of the article lead. this is also why i had assumed that many of the capitalized instances of the singular form were using the name of the genus, since i know that, for larger life forms, whether the singular or plural form is used may depend on whether the organism is referred to by its common or scientific name and whether the name is preceded by an article. for example, one may state "Oryctolagus cuniculus was domesticated centuries ago", "Bunnies were domesticated centuries ago", or "The bunny was domesticated centuries ago", but "Bunny was domesticated centuries ago" does not sound right to me. thecoronavirus article appears to be using the plural form in the statement "Human coronaviruses were discovered in the 1960s", but i do not know if the same should apply here. i admittedly have no expertise in the matter, having only learned while copyediting this blurb that "rotavirii" is not a commonly used plural form.
is it still the case that genome segment 9 is believed to be the only genome segment that codes for two proteins? the cited estes and cohen source is from 1989 and only lists five nonstructural proteins in its table 4, while the featured article's table lists six nonstructural proteins, with genome segment 11 accounting for the encoding of two of them. (thensp6 article also mentions this.) nsp6, however, is found encoded in an out-of-phase open reading frame, so i do not know if that is why genome segment 11 was not considered to be a genome segment that coded for two proteins. also, the featured article's table is based on the sa11 strain, so perhaps genome segment 11 generally does not code for two proteins.

A new preference named "Enable limited width mode" has been added to theVector 2022 skin. The preference is also shown as a toggle on every page if your monitor is 1600 pixels or wider. Hello Graham! I am planning to (at least partially) tackle theexercise article, which is in a rather abyssmal state. I noticed the amount of coverage medical sources have regarding theimmune system and exercise, and upon glossing overimmune system, there weren't any mentions of exercise, physical activity etc., which is very surprising. Wouldn't it be wise to have a section dedicated to the effects of exercise, perhaps below the "Sleep and rest" section? I've found some great systematic reviews on the topic, and a few umbrella reviews mentioning it. I'd be happy to help out with creating such a section. Any thoughts? Perhaps we should move our conversation to the article's Talk Page? That way others can pitch in. With regard to the section's structure, I suggest the heading "Effect of physical excercise" ( I think the article uses UK English, but I will have to check), followed by a section on the effects on innate immunity, one on adaptive immunity and, as you said, effects on disease course (but we must avoid primary studies). I'll start working on its medical effects, but I would appreciate if you could help with innate/adaptive immunity as my knowledge in that topic is nowhere near as vast as an expert like yours. If I have any questions I'll use the article talk page from now on. By the way, regarding the sources, I was surprised when you said some were primary. I assume it's because it doesn't have the blue highlight with the word "review" on it (likethis one)? The title of such sources contain the word "review", otherwise I wouldn't use them. All MEDRS sources I use are filtered by review, systematic review, or meta analysis. I might be missing something, though, and I'd be happy if you could correct me.
