Hi. Good work on GB films. Could you add titles to the lists likeBritish films of 1947? You may find it useful to red link the films by year..Dr. BlofeldWhite cat13:30, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I hope you're doing fine and I sincerely apologize for this intrusion. My name is Claudi Balaguer (User Capsot from the Catalan Wikipedia and the Occitan Wikiccionari), I've just read your profile and have seen that you show a keen interest in diverse cultures, countries and languages, so I think that you know well what are a minorized language and culture and maybe I am not bothering you and you will help us... I'm a member of a Catalan association "Amical de la Viquipèdia" which is trying to get some recognition as a Catalan Chapter (a Chapter is some kind of superstructure between the Wikipedias and the Wikimedia Foundation) but this hasn't been approved up to that moment. We would appreciate your support, visible if you stick this template on your first pageWikimedia CAT or/and sign the list of Members and Supporters, following the link on the template. Thanks again for your attention and I sincerely apologize if my message was bothersome or not interesting for you, I wish you a nice, pleasant and warm summer, take care!Capsot (talk)12:04, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Could you explain why are wikilinking the name of Reginald Purdell? He doesn't have an article here, and, from hisIMDB profile, he doesn't look like the kind of high-profile actor who is likely to have an article written about him in the future. Linking him without an article produces a "redlink", which is not ideal, but could be acceptable if you believe that thereshould be an article about him -- in which case the redlink acts as a reminder that someone should do it. Is that the case? If so, why not write the article yourelf, because I think it's highly unlikely that anyone else will.
I await your explanation.Beyond My Ken (talk)22:26, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome. We're quite appreciative that you have chosen to write an article for Wikipedia, but there are a few concerns inEverything Happens to Me (1938 film) that you might consider addressing. For film articles, it's not enough to show that the film simply exists and in databases. It is always best to show through references that the subject has received critical review and/or coverage in multiple sources in order to meetnotability criteria for films. First and foremost is proper sourcing for the article, as Wikipedia requires that information in articles becited back to reliable sources (not blogs, not facebook, not twitter, not myspace, not IMDB). Please consider visiting myessay on films to see how to gauge if your article meets inclusion criteria. And always feel free to ask for input or advice from editors atWikiProject Films on the project'stalk page. Best regards,Schmidt,MICHAEL Q.05:54, 22 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for uploadingFile:Simonesilva.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set ofimage copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag fromthis list, click onthis link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message onWikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk)06:05, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bienvenue! Willkommen! Welcome! Please be warm-hearted in encouraging everyone to do their best to contribute to all Eurovision-related Wikipedia articles, and welcome our new members to the project. It is easy for editors to get into conflict with each other, and things can get very nasty on the most trivial of issues, whether that be on the language of songs, the names of certain countries, or how we deal with incidents at the contest. In such circumstances it is worth remembering one thing: we are all here to build an encyclopedia, and the contribution of Eurovision to human knowledge can only be given justice if we work together and make articles, notdrama!
Happy editing!

Bienvenue! Willkommen! Welcome! Please be warm-hearted in encouraging everyone to do their best to contribute to all Eurovision-related Wikipedia articles, and welcome our new members to the project. Remember that this project can only operate if we act in a cooperative manner and engage in discussions regarding article matters. It is seen as best practice to put forward ideas to other members of the project before rushing ahead and acting on a potential falsifying action. If you feel an article may warrant a deletion, why not test the waters by opening a discussion on the article's talk page or our very own project talk page - before rushing off and submitting an AfD. It saves wasting time nominating an article for deletion which could end up with an overwhelming "keep" by other editors. Communicating with each other is a vital tool and a skill that may prove advantageous in real-life scenarios. Also be on the look out for potential new members to the project. Post {{subst:EurovisionInvite}} (which will producedthis template) on any user page you think is interested to join the WikiProject, to officially invite them to join.

A discussion is taking place as to whether the articleBob Taggart is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according toWikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should bedeleted.
The article will be discussed atWikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bob Taggart (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.Ricky81682 (talk)07:07, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. TheWikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/IrelandWikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much likeWikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country likeWikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Hello Draggleduck. Followinga request for comment in May 2025, the community has decided to implement an activity requirement for theautopatrolled permission. Because your account has not edited in the last three years, the autopatrolled permission has been removed from your account. This action is purely procedural and does not affect your ability to create articles; if you return to actively creating articles, you may request that the permission be restored throughthe normal process. When returning, please consider taking some time to re-familiarize yourself with common practices and how they may have changed over the past few years if you wish to request the permission back. Thank you for all of your contributions to Wikipedia, and we hope to see you again soon. – –DreamRimmer Alt (talk)11:43, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
