Hello. Regarding these recent edits of ours[1], maybe I'm missing something, butBasel-Stadt is not a city, it is aCanton of Switzerland, is it not? ThereforeCategory:People from Basel-Stadt doesn't belong inCategory:People by city in Switzerland any more thanCategory:People from California belongs inCategory:People by city in the United States. Sorry, but some of the categorisations are puzzling. For example, in all the literature I've come across onTom Roberts andArthur Streeton, I can't recall any significant connection to Richmond. Appreciate the effort but personally I would be hesitant to overhaul a foreign city in this manner. I have produced a list of Scottish districts atUser:Crouch, Swale/Scottish districts for both 1975 and 1996 districts. Similar to the fact you createdGlasgow (district) because the boundaries were changed in 1996 and mergedClackmannan (district) because the boundaries didn't change in 1996. Its indeed standard to not have separate articles if boundaries didn't change in a reform, seeWP:UKDISTRICTS. Those that are marked with "no separate article" likeArgyll and Bute (district) could be created if though necessary but it may not be worth having separate articles for many as the changes were often not significant. The one I'm not sure about isKyle and Carrick/South Ayrshire as theorder says South Ayrshire was formed from just Kyle and Carrick meaning it should be merged but the articles say (which is cited) that Dalmellington was moved to East Ayrshire suggesting we should keep separate articles.File:Kyle and Carrick.svg andFile:South Ayrshire in Scotland.svg do show different areas.Crouch, Swale (talk)20:44, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Re your recent amendment to P Serle, what is the significance of the "Glen Eira" reference? Serle was born in New St at the house owned by W K Thompson, partner in James McEwan and Co, which as I understand it is not in Glen Eira as it was. Secondly, he spent less than a year there as an infant, moving to East Melbourne (Powlett St), where the Serles lived for about 16 years before his father built in Hawthorn. They also invent titles of sources and translates them using Google T! Another good example would beJavi Navarro (footballer, born 1974), played no games in a specific season forValencia CF due to a serious injury, they go on a rant saying how he joined his teammates and received his medal for the1999 Copa del Rey Final using...his Footballdatabase.eu profile as source!) ref for his initial problems/injuries atReal Sociedad, using a website (Fichajes.com) with a newspiece from BEFORE the start of the season (he had just signed for club)! I browsed and browsed the web for a ref for his 32 games/4 goals, but came out empty and gave up :(

In the past, I have wrongfully done this exact same behavior, and I was warned by an administrator that if I do it again I will be banned. Spanish people (and Portuguese ones, i guess) are occasionally known by two first names (i.e. "Miguel Ángel" in Spain, "João Pedro" in Portugal) i suppose that, following that "logic",José Antonio Reyes should be moved to "José Reyes"!

You can tweak Petscan by trying different intersections; egthis gives more articles for Iceland/Czech. That is not accurate. While editors do agree to license their edits under the CC-BY-SA 4.0, and that such licensing is irrevocable and perpetual, the editor who made the edit does retain the copyright to any edits they make (and could even take action in regards to it, if for example someone used material they wrote and did not comply with the CC-BY-SA license terms). Thank you for contributing comments to the discussion atWikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2023 June 19#National Basketball Association venues by team. Your iVote to "Merge" is a common perspective on many categories for discussion where the subcategory doesn't make sense but you want to keep articles in the same tree. And you're trying to persuade other editors to your perspective, which is great.
In this case though, you've implemented your preferred solution without while the nomination is still open. That makes it harder for editors who are late to the party to come to their own conclusions because they can't see how the categories were originally set up. It also doesn't follow the normal closure process, which is atWP:CfD#Closing.

I see you've moved a number of organisations (eg Scottish Law Commission) from the Organisations based in Edinburgh category to the Companies based in Edinburgh subcategory. I don't think this is correct, for the simple reason that they are public sector organisations rather than companies. Hi there, thank you for adding the box to Churruca (what I had logged on to do). Just a few questions:
1. Where did you find Churruca's full managerial career? I've had this problem a few times when a player/manager was at such a low level it's not recorded on BDFutbol. WithPaco Real, who rose from an amateur coach in the 1960s, I only found teams listed in an obituary, and the lack of certainty has meant I haven't tried to fill an infobox. I'm not doubting that what you wrote was true, as it corresponds with the Arenas Getxo managerial box.
2. How should the page be titled? The Spanish Wikipedia omits the José, and the Basque Wikipedia puts his name as "Txurruka", which looks like it's making aWP:POINT, given that most sources spell it Churruca. Most figures I write about were born in an era where they were forced into Castilian first names, so I look forWP:COMMONNAME, which is why I named another pageIñaki Hurtado. I see a few recent sources call Churruca "Iñaki", but a lot of sources are affected by that Spanish way of just calling a player by their surname. Happy 2025, albeit belatedly!
I think it's in very poor taste what the IP did inCarlos Muñoz (footballer, born 1961)'s article on 21 JUNE 2024 (i comment this with you because you were involved in it during this timeframe, because of the subject's supposed Romani origins); they were like "Hey, let me add a SPANISH source in this ENGLISH article and maybe no one will notice or question it". I read theLa Vanguardia piece and all they mention there is a TEACHER called CARLOS MUÑOZ NIETO (as explained in my edit summaries)!! I tried to arrange a new source, but i am not allowed to openLa Nueva España source all the way, for subscribers only (at least, in my Google search, in that result i am not told a particular word is missing - in this case, "gitano"/"gypsy"), but am not sure if the mention is made like i told you.
However, in this piece i was able to read through (https://sport.jotdown.es/2023/03/06/carlos-munoz-el-barcelona-ha-hecho-mucho-dano-al-futbol-con-el-tiquitaca/), regarding his spell atReal Oviedo (the article is huge), Mr. Muñoz says at one point: "You scored twenty-five goals that year. You were part of a forward line christened with a very politically incorrect name alongside Paraguay'sRamón Hicks and EnglishmanKeith Thompson.
The black, the Indian and the gypsy. I would say: "Okeydokey, black is black, Indian is Indian, but I AM NOT GYPSY OK?". But that name stuck. Later, Thompson was unfortunately injured and did not play as much, and then Juliá, Hicks and myself started being called The Three Musketeers.".

The broader issue relates originally tothis issue that went on for over a year before being resolved, and now there have been identifical problems from anIP address as of recently. Not sure what the bar is for SPI and whether it's applicable to IP addresses, but it seems quite straightforward to join the dots here, even if the editors are unrelated. The other user inserted eight caps in ONE year and i reverted them explaining why in the edit summary; they could not care less about researching and removed the whole thing in the infobox.
I just searched the web, but could find the specific data (last cap i got was 2018). Can you assist please? If i'm not mistaken, the Athletic official profiles had that data back in the day, but not anymore. Hi there,
many thanks for adding the honour to this (ex)solid defender; however, i feel to state they were group champions was overkill. They were champions, period.
I took it upon myself to improve the storyline dramatically (and up until his retirement), found a glaring mistake in his Athletic bio (his first goal was scored in his FIRST season, not much later). Also (kind of related as i did it in Exteita), i have been replacing several dead Athletic profiles and do not know if it's worth the trouble, site will change configuration eventually and they all will crash AGAIN!

Our group has spent over 18 months developing the article and it looks like loads has been changed by you when we have spent weeks addressing the specific review points we were given before resubmitting.
