Judging from your contributions so far, you might be interested inWikiProject Countering Systemic Bias and probably also theAfrica-related regional notice board. Keep up the good work! Hello Carwil!
In the articleHistory of South America
Would minding telling me where you heard of:
For what I know, the pre-columbian amazon was inhabited by a wealth of communities, relatively isolated from each other, and they didn't really applied themselves to "large settlements" or "alteration of the ecosystem", leading mostly hunter/gatherer lifestyles.
I would be very interested in reading up the source of that. Thanks!Claus Aranha08:27, 16 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I know you are new, but if you vandalize any more pages by disregardingNPOV policies, your stay here will be a short one.

Please give your comments atWikipedia:Peer review/February 15, 2003 anti-war protest/archive2 or on the article'stalk page. February 15, 2003 anti-war protest an article from theWikiProject Anti-war, which you are listed as a member of, has been nominated for theArticle Improvement Drive (by me
).
It is an article about a day of much importance both to the history of the anti-war movement and to general discussion of the Iraq war. With a little work from experienced editors it could gainFA status. If you would like to see it improved please vote for it atMake "February 15, 2003 anti-war protest" the subject of an Article Improvement Drive--JK the unwise13:20, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Myself and another editor have a few qualms with your map, which hopefully you can help us sort out. The main troubles are whether or not to include Thailand and what source you have for the inclusion of Myanmar, which we've been unable to find. Please take a look atImage talk:ExtRenditionMap.gif for the discussion. Thanks!Blackcap(talk)18:23, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! As a contributor to WikiProject Climate change, I thought you might like to be aware of the opportunity to contribute to the newenergy portal, now that there is one... No need to reply.Gralo17:20, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia:Templates_for_deletion/Log/2006_October_11#Template:Palestine. You'll notice it is the same block of voters who all come in and voted oppose to the renaming here:Talk:Allegations_of_Israeli_apartheid#Requested_move.2C_Retitle_Article_ASAP. It's coordinated block voting and I do not know how to respond to it appropriately. Maybe I should create a mailing list of people who I think will vote with me and call them up when I want to get rid of something I don't like. --Ben04:32, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've had a brief go at the US section onUses of torture in recent times. It needs compressing heavily to a summary of the main torture article.
A second issue is that there are heavily referenced and summarized sections inHuman rights and the United States which reference torture but are not included in either of these articles. See sections "Torture, abduction and abuse" and "Prison". These need copy/pasting into the main "torture" article, complete with references, and then a better summary done in the more general article.
Can IO leave this to you? Its needed. Thanks.FT2(Talk |email)19:50, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Over the past couple of months I've been spending much more time than I should developing theEnergy portal, and intend asking for aportal peer review within the next day or so.
The portal provides a showcase for energy-related articles on Wikipedia. One of the most prominent ways is via a theselected article that is currently changed every 6 weeks or so. It would be good to increase this turnover, and with three Wikiprojects dedicated to energy-related topics and a good number of articles already written, I'd like to suggest that members of each Wikiproject might like to use the 'selected article' to feature some of their best work.
With this in mind, I'd like to suggest that your Wikiproject bypasses the normalselected article nomination page and decides collectively which articles are worth featuring - or these may be self-evident from previous discussions (or fromhere) - and add short 'introduction' to the selected article at the appropriate place on pagePortal:Energy/Selected article/Drafts, which includes further information. Your personal involvement would be welcome!
Please make any comments on your Wikiproject talk page,my talk page, or onPortal talk:Energy/Selected article/Drafts, as appropriate.Gralo15:54, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Carwil,
I'm partly translating theNiger Delta for the Dutch language Wikipedia. I found out that you wrote the piece about the oilwells, natural gas, etc in the article (e.g.here). Can you tell me from which source you have the figures? So I can add them to the new article on nl:. Thanks in advance and cheers, --Jeroenvrp14:53, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the talk page. I have removed the section again. I would rather not have done it and if I had the sources I would have addressed the issues I raised on the talk page rather than deleting the section. But I do not, and you had not responded to the requests for a re-wording. --Philip Baird Shearer16:46, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, arequest for mediation has been filed given the deadlock atracism by country. You previously offered comment on it, but were not involved in any edit warring. As such, I'm inviting you to add yourself to the RFM if you feel that you're part of the dispute. You can do sohere. If you feel you're not involved in the dispute, please disregard this message and thanks for your earlier opinion.WilyD21:45, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that POV marker on the Terrorist Attacks site today. Every incident should be properly sourced to the historical literature on the subject, someone I have endeavoured to do with the Bedawi/Bedouin assault of 1954. RegardsNishidani15:13, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Carwill, I was looking al the OpCondorParticipantsMap. It's a map originally made by me, but now my name is deleted from the "author" field, and it only mentioned that you are the only author, and a note saying "modified by Carwil James for Operation Condor page". I'm not sure what happened there, but it's a copyright violation, because GNUF doesn't allowed to delete authors names. ¿Do you know something about this? If not I think we need to delete the img because of copyvio. Kind regards, --Roblespepe (talk)15:36, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You suggested spltting theperson of color section from thecolored article back in September. I just went ahead and did it without realizing that you were trying to start a conversation there. Anyway, if you're interested in the conversation,no one else has said anything else.--Irn (talk)03:00, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. I am trying to improve the9/11 article and I need some help. Regardingthis edit you made toOperation Grapes of Wrath, I was wondering if you knew the page number or knew someone on Wikipedia who does know. Or of you got this from a book review, if you could point me in the right direction. Thanks. --VegitaU (talk)01:12, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
