Hi Burntnickel, thanks for your numerous updates to theList of volcanoes in the United States of America. Just one note about coords, when you use degree-minute-seconds notation, it is best not to use decimals on the arcseconds. The reason is that 1 arcsecond is only about 100 ft for all latitudes and for longitudes at the equator, and less for longitudes elsewhere. The locations of summits are not generally known to better horizontal resolution than that, so decimals are not needed. Also, in dd°mm′ss″ notation, it is standard to include leading zeroes for degrees and minutes, e.g. 33°02′07″. And if using dd.ddd° notation, three decimal places is sufficient.
I know that lots of mountain articles currently have coordinate problems (including having decimal arcseconds), but feel free to fix those ones too if you see them. I usually try to fix coord problems if I see them while making other edits. Thanks. --Seattle Skier(See talk tierS)11:14, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I was dealing with a speedy delete request and the redirect seemed like the better idea.Coliseum Maar andHopi Buttes Volcanic Field both redirect toHopi Buttes volcanic field you can use the history tab to find anything worth merging. Otherwise, I think everything is the way you wanted it. If you need more or I did not get you request right, let me know.Vegaswikian22:53, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for the irreverent tone, ["if any"], atTalk:Yellowstone_Caldera#excessive_overkill_leading_to_ambiguity. Thechange needed, to the article, is probably only a handful of characters, to be edited.
I also apologize for the fact that what I wrote there, is so long. But in order for me to shorten it, it would have taken even more time; and I have other things to do.
Your help on this ["if any"], would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. --Mike Schwartz (talk)15:46, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Burntnickel; I'm dropping you this note because you've usedthe article feedback tool in the last month or so. On Thursday and Friday the tool will be down for a major deployment; it should be up by Saturday, failing anything going wrong, and by Monday if something does :).
